RULES AND INFORMATION

1. A school may win only one of the prize categories (highest percent use, most improved, best campaign or best PSA).

2. All schools must submit a campaign portfolio, documenting your safety belt campaign activities to be eligible for any of the prizes (Best Campaign Prize Category). This verifies that your school participated in teh competition.

3. First prize (Highest Seat Belt Use) will be based on post-campaign safety belt count by community volunteers.

4. The Most Improved prize ctegory will be awarded to the school in each division which demonstrates the highest % increase in safety belt use.

5. The Best Campaign prize category is for the best high school campaign portfolio (no divisions). All participating schools must submit a campaign portfolio. The portfolio will be judged on innovative and creative ideas. The portfolio must be a maximum of 20 pages with the front page including your school name and the last page must include ideas of how your school would spend any prize monty. Your portfolio must be submitted by December 20th to tanya@battleofthebelts.com or postmarked by December 20th to the address listed below.

6. The Best PSA prize category will be awarded to the best 30 second public service announcement (PSA). This 30 second PSA must promote safety belt use.

7. Individual Poster Contest: The Battle of the Belts judges will choose the best two posters. Prizes will be awarded directly to the individual artist. Only one entry per student is permitted but there is no limit per school.

  • Poster Size: 24 X 36 INCHES
  • Submit Photo of Poster: 5x7 inches
  • Include: Student Name, High School, Phone Number

Campaign portfolios, PSAs, and posters need to be e-mailed to: tanya@battleofthebelts.com by December 20th or mailed and postmarked by December 20th to:
